Summary

Creo que si hubiera leído este libro algunos años antes， lo hubiera amado pero ahora eso no pasó y todo fue muy meh jaja。 Eso hizo que no entendiera porque tanto hype， igual voy a ver la serie porque estas historias quedan bien en la pantalla。 Una historia de fantasía muy plana y que no me aporto nada nuevo a todas las fantasías que ya leí。 Siento que la historia empieza muy rápida， que ni siquiera te da tiempo de conocer a la prota y llegar a entenderla y quererla。 También me paso que no desarr Creo que si hubiera leído este libro algunos años antes， lo hubiera amado pero ahora eso no pasó y todo fue muy meh jaja。 Eso hizo que no entendiera porque tanto hype， igual voy a ver la serie porque estas historias quedan bien en la pantalla。 Una historia de fantasía muy plana y que no me aporto nada nuevo a todas las fantasías que ya leí。 Siento que la historia empieza muy rápida， que ni siquiera te da tiempo de conocer a la prota y llegar a entenderla y quererla。 También me paso que no desarrolla el mundo en el que se encuentran los personajes， solo lo básico y eso genera muchas dudas o no entender bien como funciona la magia y la política de este mundo。 Osea la historia empezó y te contaba todo como si uno ya supiera y yo quedaba re en nada porque no sabia de que se trataba。 Los personajes no me llegaron al cora。 El único personaje que me interesaba （y por el cual me daban ganas de seguir leyendo） puffffffff， pasa algo que no voy a decir， pero se me dio vuelta todo jaja me veia venir el plot twist asique tampoco me sorprendió。 El romance， es muy juvenil， y me gustó pero hasta ahí nomas。 No conecte con la pareja， y eso que explota un cliché que amo pero no eso hizo que me terminará de convencer。 Asique esa es mi sensación general， que todo se quedo corto， me faltaba más y todo super predecible， si sos un/a lector/a que consume mucha fantasía este libro no tiene algo mucho más intersante y sorprendente que aportar al género。 No se si leeré los siguientes， capaz pero por ahora lo dejo acá。 Seguramente todo se desarrolle más en los siguientes， veremos。 Lo único que si， es que tengo ganas de leer 6 de Cuervos que me dijeron que es mil veces mejor que esta trilogía。 Ahora me voy a ver la serie jaj bai 😘 。。。more

Alright so I REALLY enjoyed this book！ I had a great time with it。 I'd rate it somewhere between 4 and 4。5 stars， I think I'llgo with 4。3 stars？Originally I'd heard that this trilogy was mediocre and that I didn't need to read it so I started with Six of Crows， which I absolutely adore everything in that book。 Recently I just had the urge to start Shadow and Bone so I did， and I think that was a fantastic decision。 I was indifferent to the book so I wasn't going in with any expectations， and tha Alright so I REALLY enjoyed this book！ I had a great time with it。 I'd rate it somewhere between 4 and 4。5 stars， I think I'llgo with 4。3 stars？Originally I'd heard that this trilogy was mediocre and that I didn't need to read it so I started with Six of Crows， which I absolutely adore everything in that book。 Recently I just had the urge to start Shadow and Bone so I did， and I think that was a fantastic decision。 I was indifferent to the book so I wasn't going in with any expectations， and thanks to my sometimes forgetful memory， I couldn't remember a thing I had read from reviews on the book。I already kind of knew the main characters from all the Shadow and Bone content that was circulating around the release of the tv series adaptation， so I just had a blast when they where being introduced in the book。 These some characters had some huge supprises in store for me。Let me just say when I started the book I was confused as to why the Darkling was labelled as a villain。。。 then we had the turn。。。sigh。 I literally felt like everything was a lie， I was shocked。 I said "uh uhh no way he is actually evil" 😭He is a pretty good villain as infuriating as he is now。I'm interested as to how the story will unfold and how the world I know in Six of Crows came to be， without the fold。 I'm also very curious about the Apparat， he's the most mysterious character in this book and I'm not 100% clear on what side he's on。Overall great book， think that majority of people would have loved this more if they were reading it when the book first released。 Like I said， I went in not expecting or wanting anything from the book， and it gave me a good time of a story。 （Gees the last lines got me a bit emotional and I love it 😭） 。。。more

"Fine， make me your villain"（3。5 ESTRELLAS）Después de que me dije a mí misma de que no lo iba a leer。。。 Lo hice。 Y vaya que no mentí cuando dije que no me perdía de mucho。Para empezar fue una experiencia totalmente nueva para mí， pues casi la mitad lo escuché en audiolibro， siendo este el primero en "leerlo" en este formato y eso me agradó。 Además， ya había leído anteriormente Six of Crows y quería introducirme al mundo del Grishaverse adecuadamente sin mencionar de que ya salió la serie y teng "Fine， make me your villain"（3。5 ESTRELLAS）Después de que me dije a mí misma de que no lo iba a leer。。。 Lo hice。 Y vaya que no mentí cuando dije que no me perdía de mucho。Para empezar fue una experiencia totalmente nueva para mí， pues casi la mitad lo escuché en audiolibro， siendo este el primero en "leerlo" en este formato y eso me agradó。 Además， ya había leído anteriormente Six of Crows y quería introducirme al mundo del Grishaverse adecuadamente sin mencionar de que ya salió la serie y tengo muchas ganas de leer la duología de Nikolai Haciendo aún lado el hecho de que por lo general no me gustan los libros en primera persona， la historia me pareció muy meh， ya que sentí que no pasó nada interesante hasta después de 15 capítulos， y eso solo como 3-4 capítulos。 Siento que l0 que lo salva son sus personajes， y eso solo algunos。 Para comenzar， me gustó el personaje de Alina pero había cosas que sí me molestaron de ella， ya que desde mi punto de vista era como el típico personaje de los libros YA que no se consideran guapos y se la pasan diciendo sus defectos （view spoiler）[ y no mencionemos el hecho de que después de lo que Mal le dijo， ella decidió que ya no iba a estar enamorada de él， pero después cuando se reencontraron fue como "aún sigo enamorada de él"。 Yo estaba en plan de: "amix， quiérete tantito。 Por fa" （hide spoiler）] Solo espero que su personaje evolucione en los siguientes dos libros。El Oscuro/The Darkling me pareció un personaje muy interesante， medio tóxico el vato。。。 pero interesante。 Quiero ver como sigue desarrollándose su personaje。Mal， el mejor amigo de Alina， ¿qué decir de él？ No sé si me vi un poco influida por la opinión de este personaje de otros lectores pertenecientes al fandom de este universo， pero no me generó una buena impresión y no me cayó muy bien que digamos。 Sin duda el personaje que más me gustó fue el de Genya。 Al igual que el de The Darkling， se me hizo muy interesante y me cayó muy bien。 Ya quiero saber que le deparan los otros libros。En resumen， es un libro fácil de leer en el que la escritora te introduce a un mundo completamente nuevo。 Además de que este da inicio al Grishaverse， universo que consta de 7 libros （esta trilogía y dos duologías ambientadas tiempo después de los evntos ocurridos de la trilogía principal）。 。。。more

I started the book because I had read “Six of Crows” by the same author and because the was going to be a series about it on Netflix and I wanted to read it before I saw it。 I was worried in the beginning with how Alina was but it was wonderful to see her grow as a character （both as a Grisha and a person）。 There were a lot of twists and turns， especially towards the end。 I swear I almost had a heart attack and screamed after Chapter 18！ I’m definitely rooting for Mal and Alina and will be buyin I started the book because I had read “Six of Crows” by the same author and because the was going to be a series about it on Netflix and I wanted to read it before I saw it。 I was worried in the beginning with how Alina was but it was wonderful to see her grow as a character （both as a Grisha and a person）。 There were a lot of twists and turns， especially towards the end。 I swear I almost had a heart attack and screamed after Chapter 18！ I’m definitely rooting for Mal and Alina and will be buying the series soon。 I would highly recommend this book to anyone！ 。。。more
